  • There Are Things More Essential than Saving Money

    Posted on May 18th, 2011 mike1174 No comments
    When you happen to be creating your enterprise there is a lot to think about.  One of your most significant concerns is what kind of money everything is going to cost you. Your internet site could cost money. Buying advertising will probably cost money. Finding somebody that will help you with things is going to cost lots of money. You could be tempted to cut a number of corners.  It is more than likely that you are planning to be trying to figure out at least one or two different ways that you can cut costs but sometimes doing this can hurt you. You could get incredibly hurt. Your greatest risk comes when you let yourself violate the laws that surround and protect copyright and intellectual property. Here are a handful of examples of this.

    Stealing the design of somebody’s website. Downloading a free design or employing a free website builder is one thing. It is totally different to outright replicate another person’s design. Obviously the internet is vast and the chance that the original designer ever finds out about your theft is small, but it does not mean you should chance it. If you like the design and want to use it for your own site, why don’t you contact the designer and site owner and ask for authorization to either use the same design for your own site or to ask the designer how much to design something for you?

    Using a picture or an image before acquiring permission. Just because a Yahoo and google image search turns up a graphic or photo doesn’t mean that the photo or graphic is part of the public domain. Google indexes images and then backlinks back to the original website on which it is displayed.  There’s no problem with this. Using the graphic or photo with your site without receiving permission from the creator or owner, however, is a violation of copyright law. If the owner discovers this, you could get sued. Always contact the image owner first for permission to use the picture. You may have to pay some cash but it is worth it if you can prevent having legal action taken against you. If you are not flush with capital, you can search for free images or those that are released under the Creative Commons license that allows people to use the image for commercial purposes. Those are totally fine for the public to use.

    Stealing another person’s written written content. If you would like to use another person’s content on your own internet site, it is vital that you give credit to the original author. If you take the content from someone else’s site you should definitely link to that site. This can help you get the original writer to like you. If you do not supply credit or links to the original author, you can get in substantial trouble for copyright infringement and intellectual property theft. You’ll spend far more for the infringement than it would cost you to just link to the original or even to hire someone to create the original content for you.

    It is always far better to err on the side of caution when it comes to building your business. Saving money is obviously something you need to do but just make sure that you save it legally. If you don’t the cost to your bottom line is going to be much harsher than it might have been otherwise.

  • Google is Getting Tough!

    Posted on February 19th, 2011 mike1174 No comments

    amp;lt;div id=amp;quot;_mcePasteamp;quot;amp;gt;There certainly are a large amount of automated blogging programs out there.  These programs are built upon spiders that crawl the net looking for content that matches key terms that you have put into the program. Then this program usually takes that content material and puts it in to your internet site. You get to take advantage of the benefits from having a web page full of content that gets updated swiftly without having to go through the work of actually creating the content yourself. It might appear to be the best thing ever. Except for the fact that…amp;lt;/divamp;gt;
    amp;lt;div id=amp;quot;_mcePasteamp;quot;amp;gt;It seems as if Google is gearing up for a significant cracking down on these sites that aren’t filled with original content. They are settling measures in place that will enable them to check your site’s content to make sure that it hasn’t shown up somewhere else first. If your website has mainly copied and pulled materials, there’s a chance you’re in trouble. At the very minimum you will lose credibility in the eyes of Google. So what happens to the people who are attempting to build an automated business?amp;lt;/divamp;gt;
    amp;lt;div id=amp;quot;_mcePasteamp;quot;amp;gt;Mostly it ensures that business owners everywhere are going to have to learn how to work very hard or find the funds that will allow them to work for them. This is good! This helps to defend the select few who are working hard to create original content. It also makes certain that somebody is building a legitimate business. If you aren’t good at writing or creating content, you need to find the money to pay someone to create it for you. Trust us when we say that that can be cash well spent.amp;lt;/divamp;gt;
    amp;lt;div id=amp;quot;_mcePasteamp;quot;amp;gt;The real truth is that, on the internet, lots of websites are created using the hard work of other people. These sites use plagiarized content material and then generate income by slapping up a bunch of advertisements. Sure this could be a way to help make some extra cash, but if you get captured doing it, you can count on getting in big trouble. Stealing is really a really big deal, in the end. Students are already expelled from Educational institutions all over the planet for not providing proper credit to a source. Think about what type of trouble you will be in if you do not credit your source properly or if you go so far as to steal another person’s intellectual property. Isn’t it easier just to do your own composing and creating?amp;lt;/divamp;gt;
    amp;lt;div id=amp;quot;_mcePasteamp;quot;amp;gt;The real truth is that if you really want to generate income, you need to be willing to do some genuine work. Google is attempting to reward the people who do the hard work and punish the people who are using other people’s hard work for their own benefit. We like this a lot. It helps to even out the playing field involving the people who are honestly trying to help others and earn a place for themselves online and those how just want to make a quick buck.amp;lt;/divamp;gt;
    amp;lt;div id=amp;quot;_mcePasteamp;quot;amp;gt;So, if you’re a web entrepreneur, you need to get ready to undertake some real (and often hard) work. Google is just searching for a reason to take down folks who aren’t willing to do real work!amp;lt;/divamp;gt;
