Release your brakes and steer toward success!
Posted on February 5th, 2009 2 commentsThere are two kinds of people in this world, those who are fearful and those who are fearless.
98% of the people who walk this planet live in constant fear. They fear losing their job, losing their home, or losing a loved one.
Although those are perfectly valid fears, 98% of the people let those fears hold them back from achieving their dreams in life because the fear of loss and the fear of taking risks are greater than the potential gain.
It’s like driving around with your parking brakes always on. You can’t really advance and get to where you want to be. Not only that, but if you drive with your parking brakes on, you’ll eventually wear off your brakes and get in an accident.
So what’s the solution?
Simple… Stop Living In Fear and RELEASE YOUR BRAKES!
You probably already know that 98% of the population is either dead or dead broke by age 65 and only 2% is financially wealthy, right?
The difference is that only 2% learn to drive through life taking calculated risks and working toward their dreams.
If you risk nothing, you gain nothing. If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten. It’s really that simple.
So if you’ve ever dreamed of starting your own business, whether it’s a traditional one or a home-based one, stop dreaming about it and do it!
You can read books on swimming until your eyes hurt, but fact is you’ll never learn to swim until you actually jump in the water.
Take a risk and jump in!
*** Your Next Step ***
Start by writing down what really interests you and what you’re truly passionate about.
Let’s say you discover that you’re passionate about children. You simply light up when you’re surrounded by them.
Well then, have you thought about running your own day-care from home?
This is where 98% of the population just stop. They make up silly excuses like, “I’d love to have my own day-care, but I don’t know how to start one.” OR, “I don’t know if there are permits the city requires.”
It’s a continuous “I don’t know… I don’t know… I don’t know” loop that never ends!
That’s what we like to call the fear of the unknown. It plagues most of the population, but it doesn’t plague the successful 2% who make their dreams a reality.
Believe it or not, that successful 2% at one point “didn’t know” what they had to do to be successful, but they did something unimaginable by most… they EDUCATED themselves!
So my answer to you is: EDUCATE YOURSELF!
“Not knowing” what you need to do is NO excuse! The best way to educate yourself to face the unknown is by doing the following…
Go to your local bookstore, or go to Amazon.com and search for “start day-care” and see what comes up. At the moment of this writing, there were 982 books on the subject.
There are titles such as:
– Start and Run A Profitable Home Day-Care
– How To Start A Home-Based Day-Care Business
– Start Your Own Child-Care Service
– You Can Start Your Own Day-Care
– Easy Steps How To Start and Run a Home-Based Day-Care
… and so on.As you can see, there’s a lot of information that can help you minimize the risk you take on starting your own business. It doesn’t matter what kind of business you want to start, there’s always a ton of information that can help you, which means there’s NO excuse for not starting right now.
So release your brakes, take a chance, and steer towards the success your richly deserve.
